meet the team! If you have any questions about playing with Bentstix, contact us before attending training so we can provide you with answers and help organise you transport to and from training ground if
required.
MembershipIf you choose to become a member the club, must complete the membership application form and pay the membership fee. Please indiciate on your membership form if transferring from another SHA registered club, as it is necessary to receive a clearance from your old club.Winter SeasonThe SHA 2011 men's winter season will commence on Saturday 2nd April and run through to Grand Final day on 17 September (Bentstix is currently working on getting a women's team into the 2012 SWHL Competition).Games are usually on Saturdays, or occasionally Sundays, between noon – 8pm at one of the Sydney hockey venues. Transport is typically by car. Team members with vehicles provide transport to those without. Training for 2011 will be held at Kyeemagh Hockey Field on Wednesday evenings between 21:00 - 22:00. Players usually assist one another with transport. Let us know if you require transport.

Fees
Player fees can be paid upfront or via 4 installments. To pay your fees click here EquipmentHockey is a fast and furious sport played on Astroturf, so it’s mandatory that you wear a non-slip sporting shoes, a mouth guard and shin pads during games and training. The latter two items can be purchased cheaply from any sporting goods store, of you may wish to try the online hockey super-store Just Hockey.   If you’re new to hockey and don't have a stick, don't worry! Another team member can loan you a stick so you can get a feel for the game without spending money up front. Once you've decided to play, you can then invest a hockey stick which is right for you. |
