INclusion policy

Belonging and the freedom to be yourself are at heart of our club's values and have been since our inception. The Bentstix was founded to be a place where anyone and everyone, irrespective of how they identify, is welcome. 

We welcome people of all genders (see our gender diversity policy), sexualities, ethnicities, religions and sexes. We value diversity in all it's forms and strive to provide a safe place to play, socialise and be yourself. 

 

The Bentstix Hockey Club stands behind and actively endorses and adopts Hockey Australia's Official Inclusion Policy, acknowledging that "being an inclusive sport not only reflects our core values, it also reflects the diversity of our local communities". This includes a zero tolerance policy against homophobia, biphobia and transphobia. You can see details of the policy and support materials here.
